2 Bangladeshis killed in Saudi road crash

Two Bangladeshi workers were killed and five injured in a road accident in Saudi Arabia this morning.

The deceased are Alauddin Sabbir, 28, of Chauddagram upazila and Md Ripon, 29, from Nagolkot upazila of Comilla district.

They were returning from work in a microbus when a lorry hit their vehicle around 7:00am, fellow Bangladeshis in Riyadh told The Daily Star.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Riyadh.

Contacted, the ambassador of Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arab, Golam Moshi, said the incident occurred about 1,400km north off Riyadh in Kuraida and they are trying to gather more information about the accident.
