15 lakh new voters added: EC

Around 15 lakh new voters have been included in the draft of updated voter list that already has 10 crore enlisted voters, the Election Commission said today.

The draft list was revealed today and it will be scrutinised till January 27. After completing necessary scrutiny and correction, the commission will reveal the final voter list on January 31.

Earlier from November 25 to December 15 last year, the EC collected data of tentative voters, said a press release of the EC.

Currently there are around 10.14 crore voters in Bangladesh.
