132 cops to be awarded on Jan 23

Some 132 police officers and constables will be awarded Bangladesh Police Medal (BPM) and President Police Medal (PPM) at a function of Police Week-2017 beginning on January 23.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will award medals to police and Rab members in Dhaka’s Razarbagh Police Lines, according to circular of home ministry issued on January 15.

Some 41 Police and Rab members will be awarded with PPM while 26 others with BPM recognising their courageous performance and valiance.

Besides, 24 policemen will also receive BPM-service and 41 will receive PPM-service for their outstanding contributions in solving important cases, expertise, dedication and discipline in the field of service.
