10 maunds of jatka seized

Bangladesh Coastguard seized 10 maunds of jatka from a passenger launch at Tetulbaria ghat under Pathorghata upazila of Barguna district on Monday. On secret information, a team of coastguard raided MV Nasir, a Barguna-bound launch from Taltali upazila, around 9:00pm and seized the jatka. However, none was arrested in this connection, said Lt. Syed Abdur Rouf, Pathorghata station commander. The seized jatka was later distributed among the poor and orphans, he said.
