One of the two persons who recovered from COVID-19 infection, left the hospital and were sent home, Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, director of Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), said today.

The other person who also recovered from the disease was still kept in hospital as a cautionary measure, she said during a press briefing this morning.

A third person, however, is still kept in isolation and has not recovered yet, she added.

IEDCR also suggested people avoid going out of the house if not necessary, in order to keep safe from the virus.

In the last 24 hours, IEDCR tested samples from 24 persons and none of those were positive for the virus, IEDCR said, adding that they have tested 187 people for novel coronavirus so far.
