Narayanganj doctor tests positive with coronavirus: Civil surgeon

A Narayanganj doctor undergoing treatment at Kurmitola Hospital in Dhaka with fever, cold and cough has tested positive with coronavirus.

"IEDCR informed us this evening (Saturday) that a doctor, who is taking treatment at Kurmitola Hospital, was infected with Covid-19 as he tested positive," said Mohammad Imtiaz, civil surgeon of Narayanganj yesterday.

The doctor is a resident of a multi-storey building located in Chasara area of Narayanganj, reports our Narayanganj correspondent.

Expressing anonymity, the building owner told our district correspondent that the physician was admitted to Kurmitola Hospital four days back.
