Kishoreganj district locked down

District administration today announced that Kishoreganj will be placed under lockdown until further notice in a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner Md Sarwar Murshed Chowdhury issued a directive in this regard this (Friday) evening.

As per the directive, no vehicles, except those engaged in delivering emergency services, will be allowed to ply in the district during the lockdown period.

No one will be allowed to enter Kishoreganj from other districts or leave Kishoreganj during the lockdown, the directive also read, adding that road and water transport communication between Kishoreganj and other districts will also remain suspended until further notice.

No one will be allowed to come out of their houses after 6:00pm, the directive also read.

Legal steps will be taken against those found violating the directives, it added.
