DGHS’ DG, MIS director infected with Covid-19

Director General Dr Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam and Director of Management Information System (MIS) Professor Dr Mizanur Rahman of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) have been infected with Covid-19.

The DG's personal secretary has also been infected with Covid-19.

The Director of Non-communicable diseases Professor Dr Mohammed Robed Amin confirmed the matter to The Daily Star. 

"Khurshid Alam's Covid-19 test result came out positive the day before yesterday," Robed Amin said adding that he is currently in home quarantine undergoing standard treatment.

"MIS Director Professor Dr Mizanur Rahman has also tested positive with Covid-19. The DG's PS and his family have also been infected with the virus," he said.
