Covid-19 vaccination on-the-spot registration flexibility for senior citizens?

The government is considering keeping on-the-spot registration provision for senior citizens for Covid-19 vaccination, Secretary to the Health Services Division Md Abdul Mannan said today.

Mannan said this while replying to query from journalists when he was visiting the BSMMU vaccination centre.

On Thursday, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said there will be no on-the-spot registration.

Vaccination is continuing for the sixth day today after weekly holiday yesterday.

More than five lakh people were vaccinated till Thursday. Around 14 lakh people registered till last evening.

People, aged 40 and above, and frontliners are being vaccinated in the first phase of the nationwide drive.

Today, renowned columnist Syed Abul Maksud got inoculated at the BSMMU centre.
