Covid-19: Recovery rate 91.31%
10 die, 540 infected, 822 recover in 24 hours
Ten people have died from Covid-19 in 24 hours (till 8 am today), according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of deaths has now reached 8,451 and the death rate stands at 1.54 percent.
At least 540 new infections were recorded in the meantime, taking the total number of people infected to 5,49,724, added the release.
The current positivity rate is 4.13 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.30 percent.
A total of 15,985 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours (till 8 am today).
At least 822 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stand at 5,01,966 and the recovery rate at 91.31 percent.
Among the deceased, seven were men and three women. One of them was between 31-40 years old, two within 41-50, three between 51-60 and four were above 60 years old, added the release.
