Another Covid-19 positive India returnee flees from Jashore hospital

Another coronavirus positive Bangladeshi, who arrived from India through Benapole land port recently, has fled from the coronavirus ward of Jashore General Hospital.

Police are conducting a drive to bring the patient back to the hospital.

The patient was identified as Yunus Ali Gazi (39), hailing from Charrampur village under Faridganj upazial of Chandpur. He left the hospital without letting anyone know, said Dr Arif Ahmed, resident doctor of the hospital.

"We have informed the police about the identity of the patient and they are working to bring the patient back," the doctor said.

With this, a total of 16 Covid-19 positive Bangladeshis who came from India have fled from the hospital. Police brought most of them back.
