Zakir Hossain SC registrar general

Md Zakir Hossain, who is currently serving as the Supreme Court acting registrar general and the Appellate Division registrar, has been appointed as SC registrar general.

The law ministry yesterday issued a gazette notification in this regard, the ministry Deputy Secretary Mahbuber Rahman Sarker told The Daily Star.

Zakir was appointed as the SC acting registrar general on October 17 last year two days after the SC brought major changes to its administration.

At that time, 10 key officials, including its Registrar General Syed Aminul Islam, were transferred.
