Youth murdered in Sylhet

A youth was stabbed to death allegedly by his friends in Sylhet city yesterday, claimed his family members.

The deceased was identified as Shimul Deb, 32, of Fazil Chisth area in the city.

Police recovered his body from the bank of Dastidar Dighi (pond) of Subidbazar area on information of locals.

Family members of the deceased alleged that Shimul was killed by Fazal Bakht after an altercation on Saturday. 

A case was filed against Fazal and five others with Kotwali Police Station in this connection.

Following this, Fazal was arrested from Fazil Chisth area yesterday, police said.
