Youth hacked in Sylhet

A youth was hacked allegedly by his relatives following a dispute over property in Jamurai village under Zakiganj upazila of Sylhet on Friday evening.

The injured Ahmed Hossain, 22, is undergoing treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College.

Four cousins of Ahmed's father hacked him with sharp weapons and threw him into a pond, said Ahmed's uncle Abdus Sahid. Later, other relatives rescued him. Police were looking for the attackers.
