Worker found dead in workplace

A hosiery factory worker was found dead in his workplace in Narayanganj city’s Nayamati area yesterday.

Mohammad Shakil, 18, might have been killed with a knife or scissors as his body bore injury marks, said police.

Ten scissors were found on the spot, said Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Abdur Razzak.

Suman, owner of the factory “Afsana Hosiery”, and Amin Uddin, its night guard, were held for interrogation, he said.

Shakil used to sleep inside the factory, said the police officer.
