Woman hacked to death in capital

Unidentified assailants yesterday hacked a woman to death in her house at the capital's Dakkhin Khan.

Tenants of the building said victim Soraya Begum, 52, was killed around 1:00pm when she went to an apartment on the second floor to show it to some prospective tenants.   

Sub-inspector of Dakkhin Khan Police Station Mizanur Rahman said she was attacked in the head, adding that the motive behind the killing was still not clear. Filing of a case is underway.
