Woman arrested for killing son

A mother strangled her five-year-old son at Polashbari in Ashulia, outside the capital, as he refused to sleep early yesterday.

Rabiul was the son of Yeanur Begum and her estranged husband. During primary interrogation, Yeanur admitted that she lost her temper and strangled her son. Hearing Yeanur screaming, locals rushed in and took Rabiul to Gonoshasthaya Medical College where the doctor declared dead.
