Vietnamese President Quang leaves

President of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang leaves for Hanoi yesterday after his three-day state visit to Dhaka.

A special flight carrying the Vietnamese President and his entourage departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 3pm, an official told UNB.

At the invitation of President Abdul Hamid, his Vietnamese counterpart Tran Dai Quang and his wife Nguyen ThiHien arrived to Dhaka on Sunday.

The visit marks the 45th anniversary of Bangladesh-Vietnam diplomatic relations.

The two sides expressed satisfaction at the growing volume of bilateral trade, which in 2017 amounted to nearly US$ 900 million, a 50 percent rise against that of 2016.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, during her talks with Vietnam President, sought Vietnam's support for a peaceful solution to the ongoing Rohingya crisis.
