Uncle beats 8-yr old boy to death

An eight-year-old boy yesterday was killed allegedly by his uncle in Chittagong city only because he did not inform him before going outside to play.

Tikon Dey and his mother Sumi Dey, a garment worker, lived with his distant uncle Sujon Das at Chandgaon.

According to Sumi, Tikon went to play on Saturday morning. Sujon searched him in the locality using a loudspeaker and found him around 3:00pm. Upon returning, Sujon beat him with a stick and yesterday, Sujon slammed him against a wall as he stopped taking food.

Sujon was arrested. A murder case was filed.
