Uncertainty over 4 Bangladeshis' performance in London

Visa complexities have made uncertain the presence of four young Bangladeshi performers at the Nehru Centre and the Brady Arts Centre on October 6 and 9 respectively.

The Press Wing of the Bangladesh High Commission in London was set to present Sharif Md Sojib, AFM Samiul Islam, Hridoy Sharma and Sadat Zaman Chowdhury Nerjher.

Nadeem Qadir, minister (press) of the high commission, said, “We have furnished all papers and even out of the way gave guarantee that the four would exit Great Britain after the shows, but so far there is no good news.”

The porogramme “Summit Evening of Young Bangladeshi Performers” is being mainly sponsored by Summit Group's Summit Communication Ltd. Besides, there are several sponsors from London.

Four British-Bangladeshi senior artists will also perform. British High Commission officials could not be contacted.
