Two factories shut down for producing adulterated vermicelli

A mobile court yesterday shut down two factories for producing adulterated vermicelli in Saidpur upazila of Nilphamari.

They were also producing and packaging the products in unhygienic conditions, said AC (Land) Porimal Kumar Sarker, who led the drive.

The court also fined the owners of the factories -- Badhon Food Products and Shahin Semai Factory -- Tk 50,000 and Tk 15,000 respectively.
