Two 'Ansar Al Islam' men held

The Rapid Action Battalion claimed to have arrested two members of banned militant outfit Ansar Al Islam with militant books and leaflets in the capital's Mirpur on Saturday night.

Acting on a tip-off, Rab arrested Shahadat Hossain Sajib alias Naim, 30, member of the military wing of the outfit, and Ishtiaque Ahmed alias Robin, 30, in-charge of media wing, at Mikewala Goli in Mirpur, Commander of Rab-11 Lt Col Kamrul Hasan told The Daily Star yesterday.
