Twenty illegal brokers convicted

A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday sentenced 20 illegal brokers, including a woman, to different terms of imprisonment in the capital's passport office area.

Sarwar Alam, an executive magistrate, passed the orders after a team of Rab-2 arrested them in front of the office last afternoon.

The court convicted them based on their confessional statements before the court, Sarwar Alam told The Daily Star.
