Trader found dead in shop

A grocer was found dead in his shop at Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh yesterday morning.

Locals broke open the door of the shop and noticed the body of Nizam Uddin, 40, after he had not responded to their calls, said police.

On information from them, they recovered the body, said OC Jahangir Alam Talukder of Haluaghat Police Station.

Criminals might have strangled Nizam with a rope, said the OC. The killers also looted cash and other valuables from the shop, the official said.
