TIB extends submission deadline

Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has extended the deadline to July 15 for submission of reports carried out in print and electronic media for its Investigative Journalism Award-2017, said a press release.

Reports published or telecast on corruption between January 1 and December 31 in 2016 can take part in the competition.

Besides regular categories -- national, and regional newspapers, and TV channels, TIB this year will give three more awards for reports on “good governance in climate funding”.

Each winner will get Tk 1 lakh as prize money, a crest and a certificate.

Upon recommendation from the jury, camerapersons might be considered for Tk 50,000 prize money, a crest and a certificate each for their special contributions to television reports.
