TIB for ACC's stronger role

Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has demanded “a more effective and stronger role” of the Anti-Corruption Commission for curbing corruption in the country.

They also said the government should not allow people to legalise back money, bring trust in the financial sector, and ensure freedom of press and space for democracy.

The call came during TIB's annual meeting at its office in the capital on Thursday, said a release. TIB Chairperson Sultana Kamal and its Executive Director Iftekharuzzaman spoke at the meeting.
