Three 'JMB' men held in Rajshahi

The Rapid Action Battalion claimed to have arrested three members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Tanore area of Rajshahi early yesterday.

The detainees are Sahebjan Ali, 35, Abul Kalam Azad, 28, and Jahangir Alam, 28.

Acting on a tip-off, the Rab members raided Shahebjan's house at Bilsahar village around 3:30am and arrested the trio, said Commander Lt Col Mohammad Mahbubul Alam of RAB-5 at a briefing in the morning.

During the drive, bomb-making materials and jihadi books were also seized, he said.
