Thousands win books in BSK reading competition

Bishwo Shahitto Kendro, a platform for encouraging youths for reading, yesterday concluded its two-day-long event by distributing books to 6392 students of different educational institute in the port city.

The programme attended by thousands of students from 93 schools was inaugurated on Friday at Chittagong City Corporation Municipal Model High School's premises.

On the concluding day Abdullah Abu Sayed urged the participant to be enlightened through the knowledge which can be gained by reading books.

“Bangladesh will be enlightened if you are enlightened. The more you read the more light you get to disseminate”, he added.
