Yesterday's rain brought much-awaited relief from a heat wave that was sweeping the country. The residents of the capital city, however, had to go through agonising hours on the roads just to get to one place from another. Traffic snarl-ups were seen in most parts as many major streets went under knee-deep water after heavy showers over last 24 hours.
