Teenager found dead in farmland

A teenage boy was found dead in a wheat field at Borogachhi village in Bholahat upazila of Chapainawabganj yesterday.

Rajib Ahmed, 13, son of Md Ibrahim of the village, was a seventh grader at Jambaria High School.

Quoting the victim's family, Bholahat police said Rajib on Thursday night went to sleep in an open room which had their sugar crushing machine and the next morning, the villagers found his body in the field near their house.

Police sent the body to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Miscreants might have strangled the boy over previous enmity, police said.
