Teenage girl 'commits suicide'

A teenage girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house in Mehedibagh of Chittagong city yesterday.

The deceased Nasrin Sultana, 18, an HSC student, hailed from Feni. She used to reside at her uncle's house for study, said Nayek Abdul Hamid of Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police camp.

As she was in a love affair, her uncle “rebuked” her in the morning and in a huff she killed herself, said Hamid quoting family members.

She was rushed to CMCH where doctors declared her dead.
