Swecchasebak League activist shot in Mohakhali

Miscreants shot a ward-level leader of the ruling Awami League’s affiliate Swechhasebak League in Mohakhali area of Dhaka this afternoon.

Didar Hossain Sajib, 35, was on his way to Wireless Gate around 4:00pm when two miscreants put three bullets to his chest and head, police said.

Later, he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) as condition deteriorated, said Sub-inspector Bacchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.

Sajib is an aspiring president candidate from ward no 20 and he works as a contractor.

Contacted, Rafiqul Islam, assistant commissioner (AC) of Gulshan Zone, said they came to know about the incident later and that police were investigating the incident.
