Sunamganj municipality mayor dies

Sunamganj Municipality Mayor Ayub Bakht Jaglul yesterday died at a hospital in Dhaka following a cardiac arrest.

He reached Dhaka on January 30 and was admitted to Square Hospital on Thursday where he died of an heart attack, said his relatives.

Ayub Bakht left behind his wife, a son and a daughter to mourn his death.

Nominated by ruling party Awami League, Ayub Bakht was elected as Sunamganj Municipality Mayor in 2011 for the first time and re-elected in 2015.

He will be buried after his Namaz-e-Janaza today at Sunamganj Central Eidgah Field, said his relatives.
