Suhrawardy Udyan made off-limits to commoners ahead of AL council

Suhrawardy Udyan has been made off-limits to people ahead of ruling Awami League’s triennial council scheduled to be held there on October 22-23.

The restriction will continue until the council ends on October 23, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Miah said at a press conference at Suhrawardy Udyan this afternoon.

DMP also floated instructions on traffic control in the Dhaka University and its adjacent areas ahead of the council.

The Awami League is scheduled to hold its 20th triennial council at the Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on October 22-23 with the party slogan for the event: “We are marching down the development highway, now is the time for Bangladesh to stand tall.”
