Stabbed Gonojagoron Mancha activist sues 29 in Sylhet

Claims four named are BCL men, prompting denial from ruling party backed student organisation

General Secretary of Sylhet Sammillito Natya Parishad Rajat Kanti Gupta and also a Gonojagoron Mancha activist yesterday filed a case against four named and 25 anonymous persons for stabbing him on Thursday.

Rajat mentioned all the four -- Moinul Islam, Ashraf Siddique, Imran Chowdhury and Yahia Chowdhury -- as Bangladesh Chhatra League Dorshondewri unit's activists in the case.

However, BCL Sylhet City unit's President Rahat Tarafdar said the four are not involved with BCL, in fact they are using the organistaion's name for illegal activities.

Rajat said Parvez and his 25 activists, after being refused to get entry without tickets to a concert organised by Flames, a cultural organisation of Metropolitan University, stabbed two of the organisation's members outside Kabi Nazrul Auditorium. When the concert ended, the BCL men entered the auditorium and stabbed Rajat who was practising for a programme.
