SSC examinee jumps from exam centre after expulsion

An SSC examinee yesterday tried to commit suicide by jumping from the first floor of a three-storey exam centre in Savar, outside the capital, after she had been expelled.

Jannatul Ferdoshi, a science student of Savar Girls' High School, fractured her right leg and was taken to National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (Nitor), said Savar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Amjaul Haque.

Ratan Peter Gomes, secretary of Savar Adhor Chandra High School examination centre, said Jannatul was expelled for this year for cheating in the physics exam.
