Sold my property to Khandker Mosharraf willingly at fair price

Declares Dayamoyee Asram owner Arun Guha Majumder at Faridpur press conference

Dayamoyee Asram owner Arun Guha Majumder yesterday said he willingly sold his Jheeltuli house in Faridpur to LGRD Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain at a fair price.

He made the declaration at a press conference in Faridpur Press Club.

A quarter was spreading propaganda that the minister had grabbed the house and forced him to leave the country, he said adding neither he nor any of his family members made any such allegation to anybody.

He further said Khandker Mosharraf bought the house on 2.97 acres of land upon his repeated requests.

The allegation -- made by Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad that the minister had grabbed the house -- was baseless and fabricated, he said adding that the leaders of the parishad should have contacted him before making such an allegation.

Asked how much he got from selling the property, he only said, “I sold the land at a fair price.”

Arun's daughter Tuli Guha Majumder, and his niece Kamna Majumder were also present at the press conference.

On August 6, Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad General Secretary Rana Dasgupta at a press conference at Dhaka Reporters' Unity alleged that LGRD Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain had grabbed the house of Arun Guha Majumder.
