Six sued over DB inspector murder

A case was filed last night against six persons for shooting dead Jalal Uddin, an inspector of Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, in the capital's Pirerbagh on Monday midnight.

The accused include one Hasan Ali, who fired the shot, and five unidentified people.

The case was filed by Sub-inspector of DB Shamim Ahmed with Mirpur Police Station.

Officer-in-Charge of the police station Nazrul Islam said they were yet to arrest anyone, and DB is investigating the matter.

Jalal was shot in the head when he went to raid a three-storey house where criminals were hiding. Soon after the shooting, the criminals fled.
