Six madrasa students burnt

At least six madrasa students suffered burn injuries after a transformer blast in Bangshal area in the old part of Dhaka yesterday.

The students of Mohammadia Islamia Hafezia Madrasa were studying on the second floor of the four-storey building when the explosion took place, said a teacher. 

Three of the victims -- Salman, 11, Ashique, 10, and Javed, 7, are undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, police said.

The other three were given primary treatment.
