Siddiqur released from hospital

Titumir College student Siddiqur Rahman, who lost his eyesight in police action at Shahbagh on July 20, was released from the National Institute of Ophthalmology (NIO) in the capital yesterday afternoon.

The 23-year-old political science student was admitted to the hospital on July 20. Later he was treated in India, but it failed to restore his eyesight. Recently, the government has given him a job of telephone operator at state-run Essential Drugs Company Ltd.
