Shujan demands free, fair election in Barisal

Shushashoner Jonno Nagorik (Shujan) demanded that the government ensure free and fair election to the Barisal City Corporation.

At a press conference yesterday, in the Abdul Khalek Khan Auditorium, Shujan also sought a level-playing field for all candidates participating in the upcoming polls.

The press briefing was presided over by Md Akkas Hossain, Barisal district president of Shujan.

It also called upon the Election Commission to appoint election officers without any involvement or interference of any candidate. Shujan also urged EC to rectify their mistakes that "marred" the Khulna City polls.
