Shahabuddin's 13-day solo art show opens Monday

A 13-day solo art exhibition of celebrated artist Shahabuddin will open in the city from Monday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to open the exhibition titled – “Shanti” at National Art Gallery Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The event has been jointly organised by Ganges Art Gallery, Kolkataand Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, while UNB is the media partner.

A pre-event media briefing will be held at 4:00pmon Sunday at the Seminar Room of the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

In 2000, the government of Bangladesh hounoured Shahabuddin with 'Swadhinata Padak', while French government conferred upon him the prestigious civilian award 'Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres' (Knight in the Order of Arts & Literatures) in 2014.
