The legacy of journalist-writer Santosh Gupta is more essential at present when chaos and corruption are pushing the society backwards, speakers said at a book launching ceremony yesterday.

They said Santosh Gupta as a journalist struggled for press freedom and fought for ensuring rights of fellow journalists. His writings must be read by the new generation.
