DHAKA UNDER WATER

Torrential rain over the last couple of days once again wreaked havoc in Dhaka yesterday. Most of the city roads were submerged as the rainwater could not recede smoothly. Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokon toured several inundated sections of city roads including Road 27 and Mirpur Road intersection in Dhanmondi. The photos were taken around noon from Sobhanbagh area on Mirpur Road, Sangsad Bhaban area, Dhanmondi Road 27, inside Bangladesh Secretariat, near Setu Bhaban in Mohakhali and in front of Notre Dame College in Arambagh near Motijheel.
