Rohingya woman held in Barisal

Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP) yesterday detained a Rohingya woman from the premises of the Regional Passport Office (RPO), Barisal yesterday.

The detainee, Noorjahan, 22, is a resident of Kutupalong refugee camp. She arrived in Barisal with a human trafficker by a launch from Dhaka, police said.

Kamal Shikder, deputy director of RPO, Barisal, said she did not say anything while she examined her

document.

She will be sent to Kutupalong camp soon, he added.
