Robbers loot valuables from house

Armed robbers looted money, gold and other valuables from the house of a former army sergeant in Tengury area of Ashulia early yesterday.

Sergeant (rtd) Shawkot Hossen said the robbers numbering 15 pressed the calling bell of his house on the third floor. As soon as he opened the door the entered inside forcefully and took the house members hostage at gunpoint.

Later, the criminals looted the valuables and fled away. Police said they visited the spot.
