Road crashes kill 4

Four people were killed in road accidents in the country in last two days.

Our Narayanganj correspondent reports, Rahela Begum, 65, of village Arial in Tangibari upazila of Munsiganj, died when a Dhaka-bound car ran her over while she was crossing Dhaka-Narayanganj link road in Chadmari Fatulla area of Narayanganj yesterday afternoon.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Our Dinajpur correspondent adds, two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Naogaon on Saturday evening.

Nabir Uddin, 70, of Karaidanga village in Naogaon Sadar upazila, was killed when a tractor lorry hit him on Joypurhat-Dhamoirhat road at Piraldanga village.

Rabbi Mia, 23, son of Moslem Uddin of village Zagatsingpur in Dhamoirhat upazila, died on the spot when a lorry hit him on the same road in the village.

Our Chapainawabganj correspondent reports, Sajeman Ali, 60, of Sat Roshia village in Shibganj upazila, died when a tractor hit his bicycle at Dadonchak while he was crossing a road yesterday.

Police seized the tractor.
