Road crashes kill 4

Four people were killed and 20 others injured in road accidents in three districts yesterday. In Dinajpur, two people were killed as a bus fell into a ditch beside Dinajpur-Bogra road after the driver lost his control over the vehicle and hit one of victims in Mohespur village under Phulbari upazila.

The deceased were Parashuram Roy, 55, of Moheshpur village and Shah Alam, 15, of Bhagabatipur village. Parashuram was a pedestrian while Alam was the helper of the bus, said police.

Twenty people were also injured in the accident. They were admitted to Phulbari Upazila Health Complex.

In Naogaon, a van puller was killed as a truck hit his vehicle at Mobarakpur intersection on Patnitola-Sapahar road in Patnitola upazila.

The deceased was Aminul Islam, 33, of West Mobarakpur village.

In Satkhira, Bulu Sardar, 30, of Kumiria village was killed as his motorcycle collided head-on with a microbus on Tala-Keshabpur road in Baburpukur area of Tala upazila.
