Rights activists protest Brahmanbaria mayhem

Human rights activists today formed human chain in front of Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka protesting the attack on Hindu community people in Brahmanbaria.

After forming human chain, they held a protest rally there this morning.

During the rally, the protesters demanded judicial inquiry over the attack and resignation of the home minister.

“We demanded resignation of the fisheries and livestock minister [Saidul Haque] as he failed to perform his duty,” said Tapos Kumar Paul, secretary of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad.  

He also demanded suspension of Nasirnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Nasirnagar immediately.

Apart from Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad members, activists of Bangladesh Hindu-Bouddha-Christian Oikya Parishad and Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mohajot were present among the other protesters.
