Rape victim's house torched

The house of a rape victim was torched allegedly by the rapist's associates in Sylhet city on Monday, family claimed. 

They said the house was set on fire by men who were putting pressure on them to withdraw a case.

However, police rejected such claims and alleged that the girl's family has ignited the fire themselves.

A 14-year-old girl of a tea worker family was abducted on November 13 last year.

She was later rescued by police on April 1, and the next day a abduction and rape case was filed.

Her abductor was arrested.
